According to the Easy Weddings 2016 Annual Australian Wedding Survey, the average price couples are willing to spend to cater their wedding is $8,160.

When it comes to how much couples are willing to part with to feed their guests at their dream wedding, the average price varies from state to state across Australia.

The stats

Australian Capital Territory couples are the big spenders in this case, forking out an average of $11,065 to cater their wedding.

Victorian couples spend an average of $9,895 on their catering, while New South Wales couples are willing to part with $8,955.

Tasmanian couples spend an average of $7000, closely followed by Western Australian and Northern Territory couples who’ll part with $6,570 and $6,300 respectively.

Queensland couples are the most modest when it comes to catering their wedding, only forking out an average of $4,800!
